On Hallowe'en, the veterinarian — a beautiful but strange woman — was murdered. This spring, the new veterinarian — another beautiful but strange woman — murdered four people before being killed. The town is in need of a new veterinarian.

Prom 2008 was anomalous. No one was killed. No shots were even fired.

The pharmacist is a retired pinup model who is married to the mayor who helped the bookstore owner hide the body of her boyfriend, the motel owner, after he committed suicide in her basement.

And then sometimes things get really weird.
